With nearly two decades of experience in residential home loans across numerous states, I’ve spoken with thousands of people and funded hundreds of millions of dollars in home loan transactions. Now retired and no longer under NMLS licensing rules or corporate compliance, I’m able to share insider secrets that could save you thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars, on your home purchase loan transaction.

My Journey

Doing mortgage loans is actually career number three for me. My first career out of college was in sales, sales management, and business development in the tech industry, working in the field of electronic publishing. After 16 years, I transitioned into full-time Christian ministry and became an ordained pastor at the church my family was attending in Orange County, CA. I did that full-time for two years and part-time for five more years. I then transitioned into doing residential mortgage loans for the past 19 years.

I always loved doing home loans and I loved being able to help couples and families fulfill the American dream of home ownership. It was always a great day every time I could call my customer and say, “Congratulations, the loan has funded. The house is yours!” I love the relationships built with all my clients and was always grateful for their referrals they sent me. I retired in order to pursue what I consider my true calling in life. I started a nonprofit geared for families with early teen and preteen-aged kids. The nonprofit is called “CROP Ministries”. I decided now is the time to transition into doing that full-time.

There is much I will miss about serving people in the area of home loans and I created this website as a resource to help countless people around the country benefit from the money-saving strategies and tactics that I employed for my own customers over the years. To be clear, I no longer have my mortgage licensing credentials so I cannot do a home loan for anybody even if they wanted me to. Because I no longer have oversight by the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) and I’m not bound by corporate compliance, I am able to peel back the curtain and help you see inside clearly how the home loan process works and where the real money is at. Much of what I share here is information that your lender either doesn’t know or is unwilling to tell you.
