Are You a Lender?

No.  I used to be a lender, but not anymore.  When I retired from mortgage loan origination after 19 years, I surrendered my ability to do home loans, so I cannot do a loan for you even if you beg me to.  You can look up my license number on the NMLS website to verify there were no issues or complaints against me at any time in my career.

NMLS stands for Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and anyone taking a loan application for a primary or secondary home must be licensed by the NMLS.

Why Did You Retire from Mortgage?

Why Do You Have This Website?

When carrying an NMLS license, a licensee is required to maintain guidelines and submit to the authority of the NMLS.  As well, a licensee is required to submit to corporate compliance regarding what they are allowed to say, what and how they present information to home loan clients and prospects, and abide by disclosure guidelines.  Now that I neither have NMLS licensing nor corporate compliance to abide by, I can say whatever I want!  I want to share my decades of knowledge, experience, and strategies to advocate on behalf of the home mortgage loan shopper.

Are You Generating Leads and Getting Paid for Them?

No.  This is not a lead generation platform.  If you hire me to shop the best loans for you, I cannot and will not take any compensation or referral fee from any lender.  I will work exclusively for you.

Why Should I Trust Your Advice?

I Already Have a Lender. What Do I Need Real Mortgage Secrets For?

Of course.  Anyone needing a home loan will have or need a lender.  However, all lenders are not the same, just as all realtors are not the same.  Some are great, some are good, some are okay, and some are simply awful.  I have no idea which lender you will be working with.  The purpose of Real Mortgage Secrets is to share insider secrets about the mortgage process that your lender either doesn’t know, or isn’t willing to tell you.  It’s all about saving YOU money.  The more you know about the process, what questions to ask, how to evaluate offers, etc., chances are the more your lender will respect you and be as transparent as possible with you.

The Mortgage Process Seems So Confusing. Where Should I Start?

Start with the free video stuff.  Begin by watching what is involved in the home loan process, what can you expect, definitions of different areas of the home loan and purchase process.  This will help you generate some questions.  Then go to the paid video library to learn about money saving strategies once you have a better understanding.  Of course, you can always book a consultation with us to ask us any questions at any time.  We make available 15, 30 and 60 minute consultations.  As well, you can hire us to be your loan finder for you.  The Loan Finder service comes with unlimited consultations for 12 months.

Can You Help Me Become the Best Credit Profile Possible So That I Can Get the Best Rates Possible?

Yes.  There are numerous strategies to get your credit profile in the best shape possible to be the best loan applicant possible.  Over my career, I guided countless numbers of people on what to do to be an attractive buyer.  Whenever someone was not in a good position at the time to be credit approved and purchase a home, I always outlined a blueprint strategy on what they needed to do to get ready.  Some strategies I developed took the customer three months to complete, others took three years.  Every one of them who did what I instructed wound up becoming home owners.  On the flip side, many more went away and did not have the discipline to do what was required and I never heard back from them.

I Neither Have the Time, Energy, nor Interest Shopping for a Lender and the Best Deals. Can You Just Do It for Me?

Won't My Lender Be Upset About What You're Sharing and Doing?

Maybe.  I don’t know.  I’ve known several mortgage lenders over my years who would get very upset if a customer even talked to somebody else.  But they shouldn’t be.  I’m not a threat to them because I can’t do a home loan and I have no interest in steering a customer to another lender.  Likewise, if they are honest and transparent with you, they should have no reason to be upset.  Rather, they are in a position to have someone like us validate their honesty, integrity, and offers.  We are in the position of providing you with an unbiased opinion which will either validate your lender choice or let you know that you can do better.  Either way, you win!

What Are You Doing for Lenders?

I am also sharing my experience and secrets with the lender community.  In our industry, there are well-know “expert coaches” who charge thousands of dollars to mortgage loan officers to coach them on how to build their business.  I’m sharing my own lending experiences with lenders who want to know how I consistently earned 5-star customer reviews and a very strong referral business as a result of my client care.  I make this knowledge available for a very reasonable price to lenders.
